Advice for Beginner Members: Don’t let a perceived lack of time in your busy schedule be the reason you don’t exercise. Anyone can find twenty minutes a day, three times a week to move. Once you start, the positive effects of exercise will motivate you to continue.
Advice for Advanced Level Members: Maybe you’ve been lifting for years and you’re not seeing the gains you should be. It’s one thing to exercise. It’s another to exercise right. Visit us and learn how to achieve the gains you want.

Name: Emily Smith
Personal Fitness Level: Beginner
What My Fitness Goals Are Right Now: Getting back into shape and pushing myself to work out every day
Favorite Piece of Equipment at City Gym: Right now, I’m loving the Peloton bikes. They’re awesome because unlike the ones you can buy for your home, these are commercial grade. That means you don’t need to buy special shoes or pay for classes. We do that for you. I also like that you can take pre-recorded or live classes on them with instructors. This way, I get to go at my own speed but someone is still pushing me to work harder.
Advice for Beginner Members: I’m a beginner too. I think just take it slow and don’t give up. As my father likes to say, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I don’t see myself running any marathons any time soon, but it’s about baby steps. You’ll get there if that’s what you want.
Advice for Advanced Level Members: You know more than I do at this point. Try the Jacobs ladder. It’s a killer.
The Coolest Fitness Thing I’ve Ever Done: Hiking in the Adirondacks.
